Are you a carer?

Research has shown that gardening activities and nature, improve our well-being, reduces feelings of anxiety, stress, loneliness and low self-esteem. This is especially important for carers who have had a dramatic change in lifestyle, reduced social engagement, lessened personal time and space, and who are less focused on their own wellbeing.

This workshop is perfect for those who with beginner to intermediate gardening knowledge.

You can expect to gain knowledge and practical hands-on skills including:

  • Soil food web basics
  • Composting options and methods (hot, slow, bokashi and worm towers and farms)
  • Cultivating compost
  • How to use soil superfood in the garden.

Don't miss this opportunity to expand your gardening repertoire and meet other plant-loving carers in a friendly and supportive environment. Spaces are limited, so be sure to secure your spot today!

This is a free Carers Hub event for carers in Nillumbik and surrounding areas.
