Neighbourhood House Week is an annual national celebration recognising the important contribution Neighbourhood Houses make in local communities across Australia.

Neighbourhood House Week 2025

This year Neighbourhood House Week will run from 12 - 18 May and the theme is 'Ripples of Change'.

You’re invited to join in and get involved!

We're celebrating with free activities - it's your opportunity to try something new and meet other locals…

Each of Nillumbik's five neighbourhood houses will be running an event (Allwood Neighbourhood House, Wadambuk St Andrews Community Centre, plus our three Living & Learning hubs in Diamond Creek, Eltham and Panton Hill).

There's a different activity on every day from Monday through to Friday.

Living & Learning Nillumbik activities are listed below. Don't forget to visit the Nillumbik Shire Council page to see all Neighbourhood House Week activities across the shire

More about Neighbourhood House Week

Held each year in May, hundreds of events and activities take place all across country as Neighbourhood Houses celebrate their local communities. It is a wonderful way to recognise and share what Neighbourhood Houses are doing in their local communities, and to welcome new members.

Neighbourhood House Week provides a great opportunity for locals to explore what is on offer at their local Houses.

Did you know? There are over 1,000 Neighbourhood Houses across Australia, and more than 400 of them are in Victoria! Neighbourhood Houses are also called Neighbourhood Centres, Community Houses, Living & Learning Centres, Community Hubs and more.
