Learn to cook (and eat) authentic Punjabi food!
(Spoiler alert – it’s probably not like the Australian-style Indian food you’ve tried before!
The vast Indian sub-continent contains a myriad of diverse regional cuisines. Punjabi food is often what people think of when they think of Indian food.
Learn how to cook a healthy, North West Indian, vegetarian meal from scratch using authentic ingredients. At the end of each session, enjoy eating what has been made or take it home for your next main meal. Learn different recipes each term.
What to expect Join a small group of 6-8 participants at these hands on cooking sessions guided by demonstrations from an enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutor. Simple approaches and techniques, authentic shortcuts and steps for preparation will all be covered. You will have a basic meal to eat at the conclusion of each session. All ingredients are included in the cost of the course.
Food allergies and intolerances: Please note that Punjabi cooking uses nuts, wheat and plenty of dairy ingredients.
Venue
This course is held at Hurstbridge Community Hub, 50 Graysharps Rd, Hurstbridge.
Note: Punjabi cooking is not running in term 2. Stay tuned for term 3 workshops.
