This activity is held at Eltham Living & Learning Hub.
If you’ve ever seen a beautiful natural object and wished you could depict it in art, this course is for you. Designed for intermediate students our Nature Illustration course will delve into the fundamentals of sketching, creating shape and rendering natural objects using different media.
Explore the intricate details of plants, lichens, insects, fungi and more through drawing with graphite, coloured pencil and ink. Our classes will guide you through structured activities and demonstrations, allowing you to grasp the art of drawing step by step. You will also have group practise time to refine the techniques introduced in each lesson.
By the end of the term you should have some new art to hang on your walls, and a deeper appreciation for observing and capturing the natural world through drawing.
Prerequisite:
You need to have completed one term of Nature Illustration in 2024 or the Nature Illustration Introduction course before enrolling in this class. Intermediate skills are required.
