National Volunteer Week 2024
Published on 20 May 2024
Volunteers are central to Neighbourhood Houses and they are an essential part of Living & Learning Nillumbik.
In fact, each week we welcome more than 40 volunteers who support the activities running across our three Living & Learning Hubs.
This week, to celebrate National Volunteer Week 2024, we invited our volunteers to share lunch together at Eltham Living & Learning Hub.
It is a small way we can say thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who do so much to support, inspire and strengthen everything that happens here at Living & Learning Nillumbik.
This year, the National Volunteer Week theme is ‘Something for Everyone’ - a theme that is certainly true here at Living & Learning Nillumbik. Currently, volunteers support community learning and social connection through key roles as MakerSpace coordinators, tutors, community gardeners and digital mentors. They also support in day-to-day activities such as administration, marketing and general support.
Thank you to everyone who was able to come along and share in the day, and to everyone who does so much to enrich the community here.
