Looking for something fun and local for the kids these school holidays? Sign up for this arts and craft workshop with acclaimed children's author Penny Harrison. 

Children will learn about the meanings of different natural objects and gain a basic understanding of spells and rituals for mindfulness and wellbeing, along with using objects from nature to create art and craft. The focus of the spells and rituals, and the art and craft activities will be primarily on wellbeing - looking at mindfulness, bravery, friendship. 

This activity is open to people aged 6 to 10 years.
The Child Parental Consent section of the enrolment form must be completed prior to the first session.


About the tutor

Penny Harrison is a children's author, book reviewer and lifestyle  journalist. Her latest book is called The Little Coven, which is about spells and friendship and nature.
A professional writer for more than 20 years, she has contributed to a variety of leading magazines, newspapers, guides and books, writing about everything from raising toddlers to raising chickens.
Penny grew up on a farm in central-western NSW and spent her days exploring the bush with her four brothers and sisters.

Nowadays, she lives in a rambling old garden on the edge of the Yarra Valley with her husband, two children and an ever-growing collection of books, plants and pets.
