50 years of Living & Learning Nillumbik

In 2025, Living & Learning Nillumbik is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

In 1975 the first activities ran at Eltham. Since then, some things have stayed the same and many have changed! Join us to take trip down memory lane!  

This significant milestone will be marked with special gatherings, opportunities to learn about our local history, and lots of chances to share your stories.

50 Year Celebration Open Day

Come along and help us celebrate 50 wonderful years of sharing, learning and connecting!

When: Sunday 14 September 10am–2pm
Where: Eltham Living & Learning Hub, 739 Main Road Eltham

Our Open Day celebration will include free activities for all the family, including:

  • market stalls
  • demonstrations and displays
  • Devonshire Tea
  • face painting
  • kids story time and activities
  • giant bubbles
  • popcorn
  • sausage sizzle.

There will also be wonderful local entertainment and the chance to share your stories about Living & Learning Nillumbik.

Parking

Please note that onsite parking is limited. Parking is also available in the following locations:

  • Eltham Playhouse Occasional Care - Pitt St
  • Corner of Pitt St and Main Road
  • Pitt St, west side of Main Road, near the river and BMX park
  • Pitt St, east side of Main Road - please cross at the pedestrian crossing at Bridge St.
