We are very pleased to announce the completion of our community garden expansion at the Panton Hill Living & Learning Hub, thanks to a grant received through the North Eastern Public Health Unit and with the support of Nillumbik Shire Council.
As well as the six new wicking beds, we are making the existing beds more accessible by raising their height and planting a small orchard of fruit and citrus trees along the fence line.
We have already welcomed some social support groups from Healthability and some Vocational Major students from Diamond Valley Secondary College to activities in the garden. In Term 3 we are launching a new therapeutic gardening program.
Our volunteer group meet on a Friday afternoon and would love to welcome some new volunteers to help with the winter planting.
If you are interested in joining please view our Community Garden page (below) or reach out to our customer support team. We would love to welcome you to the now-expanded garden!
Stay tuned for more announcements about upcoming workshops and activities making the most of this new space.
