Venue hire

Living & Learning Nillumbik has various spaces for hire at reasonable rates for commercial or community groups. 

Room hire is scheduled one term at a time, to ensure sufficient space remains available for Living & Learning Nillumbik activities.

Room capacities may vary depending on the intended use and room set-up.

Tea and coffee facilities are available for all rooms and access to kitchen facilities can be arranged if required for your function or event.

Please submit your venue hire request at least seven days prior to the requested date. Booking dates will only be confirmed upon receipt of invoice payment.

Living & Learning Nillumbik has a strict NO party policy of any kind.

Public Liability Insurance

All user groups are required to have Public Liability & Personal Risk insurance for a minimum of $10,000,000.

Coverage may be provided under the Council’s Community Liability pack to:

  • individuals or groups hiring a Council venue for a one‑off social or private event
  • not‑for‑profit organisations whose primary purpose is to deliver services to the community and who do not have the capacity to generate significant income from their activities or services.

Fees: $22 per hire, $50 per term, $100 per year. Coverage must be arranged in conjunction with booking.

Any individual, business, or organisation that does not fall within this eligibility must obtain and provide evidence of their own Public Liability Insurance prior to the approval of a venue hire.

Diamond Creek Living and Learning Hub

Bunya Room (upstairs)

  • A well-equipped meeting space with whiteboard, wall-mounted TV, air conditioning and comfortable seating.
  • Capacity: Up to 10 seated

  • A large classroom style space with TV, whiteboard, air conditioning and configurable seating.
  • Capacity: Up to 15 seated

  • A bright and spacious room with large TV, air conditioning, flexible seating and a fully equipped kitchen.
  • Capacity: Up to 25 seated

  • A spacious, light-filled venue with wooden flooring, wall-mounted TV, whiteboard, heating/cooling and kitchenette.
