Join us in celebrating Seniors Festival 2026 with a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn to create your own reusable beeswax wraps—an eco-friendly alternative to plastic cling wrap.
In partnership with REthink Nillumbik, this practical session will guide you through selecting suitable fabrics, preparing the beeswax mixture, and applying it safely and effectively. You’ll also learn how to care for your wraps so they last.
The REthink Nillumbik program is funded by Nillumbik Shire Council and supported by Edendale Community Environment Farm and NECAH (Nillumbik Environment and Climate Action Hub). The project will be delivered by Going Green Solutions and supports Council's climate action goal of net-zero community emissions by 2035.
All materials are provided, and participants are encouraged to wear old clothes, as the process can get a little messy.
To finish the session, enjoy a relaxed morning tea, included as part of the workshop.
This activity will be held at the Diamond Creek Living & Learning Hub, 119 Cowin St, Diamond Creek. This activity is open to people aged 18 years and over.
