This class is designed for intermediate students. You will have previously completed the Introduction to nature illustration course or mastered other equivalent drawing skills.

This course will delve into sketching, creating shape and rendering natural objects using different media. It offers a deeper exploration into the world of nature illustration, focusing on the intricate details of plants, birds, lichens, insects, fungi, and more. You will work with graphite, pen, and coloured pencil to capture these natural forms.

Through structured activities and demonstrations, we will guide you step by step in developing your skills. You’ll have the chance to build your technique further, culminating in a fine art project using coloured pencils. Each lesson will provide ample time for practice, allowing you to refine the methods introduced and receive feedback from your tutor.
