Flower art mixed media
Saturdays, 10.30am–12pm
Diamond Creek Living & Learning Hub
$150 ($135 concession)
This six-week flower art course invites you to explore creative botanical artmaking through mixed materials, pattern, and layered techniques.
Guided by practising artist and experienced visual art teacher Carmen Mazzarotta, this course celebrates an “art for joy” approach, encouraging you to value the experience of creating as much as the completed artwork.
During the course, you will complete three finished artworks:
- Patchwork botanical artwork
- Single flower with patterned background artwork
- Floral still life.
You will learn how to blend drawing, painting and decorative pattern to build texture, depth and visual interest in your work. Suitable for beginners and continuing students alike, the course encourages experimentation, creativity, and the development of a personal artistic style within the process, techniques, and skills demonstrated throughout the course.
This activity is open to people aged 18 years and over.
Places may be available in this activity after the start date. Please contact us to enquire.
This activity will be held at Diamond Creek Living & Learning Hub, 119 Cowin Street Diamond Creek.
