Nillumbik Shire Council has been actively monitoring all Federal and State guidelines to ensure the health and wellbeing of our local community in light of the ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. During these uncertain times, Living & Learning Nillumbik’s top priority remains the health, safety, and well-being of our students and staff, away and at our centres. We are planning for several contingency scenarios and taking decisive, informed action to limit the spread of COVID-19 whilst also ensuring the continuity of our teaching and learning mission.

Based on current advice, Living & Learning Nillumbik have decided to cancel all face to face courses and group activities for the remainder of this term, effective Wednesday 18 March 2020. This includes the following class groups at Eltham, Diamond Creek and Panton Hill:

  • Short courses
  • MakerSpaces
  • Volunteering activities

Some current programs might have the option to be offered through an online virtual classroom. If your course is available in this format you will be contacted to offer this option.

Over the coming weeks Living & Learning Nillumbik will be contacting all participants concerned to provide options for cancelled classes and refunds where required. In the meantime if you have a preference please reply to this email specifying your preference:

  • Make up class (subject to availability)
  • Credit note (to use at a later time)
  • Refund

At this stage classes will resume the first week back of Term 2 subject to further advice from State and Federal government bodies.

We thank you for your understanding of this situation and support of us in our efforts as this decision was made upon very careful consideration.  We will provide you with regular updates via email should there be any changes.  Please like our Facebook and Instagram pages as we’ll also be sharing all updates and online opportunities through that.
