COVID update 29 October 2021
Published on 01 November 2021
We're looking forward to seeing you all back on site when we are able to reopen. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience while our team are working hard behind the scenes to ensure that we meet all Victorian Government requirements when we return to site. We are reviewing available options for each group to reconnect and will be in touch as soon as possible with further information.
We can now confirm that, similar to many other venues throughout Victoria, all people attending Living & Learning Nillumbik centres and all other Nillumbik Shire Council facilities must be fully vaccinated or have a medical exemption.
In order to participate, you will need to have received the first and second dose of a COVID-19 vaccination and be able to provide evidence of your fully vaccinated status.
You can find step by step instructions on how to find your certificate at Services Australia and Health.gov The instructions will help you to access your certificate on the Medicare or MyGov app or website. From there you will be able to save a copy on your computer or phone, and you can then show your certificate to the relevant COVID marshal when you attend site.
For privacy reasons, please DO NOT EMAIL your vaccination certificate to us, we are only required to sight the information. We will not be keeping a record of your vaccination status and your information will not be shared with third parties without your consent unless we are permitted or required to by law.
I'm not fully vaccinated
We will offer remote participation in our programs where practical.
If you are not already vaccinated and need to make an appointment, you can do so at this website https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/book-your-vaccine-appointment
For up to date information on where to get vaccinated locally, call our COVID Vaccination Community Project hotline on 9433 3223 or visit www.nillumbik.vic.gov.au/covid-vaccinations.
It's important you access reliable and accurate information with regards to vaccination, you can find this here https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/about-covid-19-vaccines and please talk to your GP about specific heath questions you may have.
Please note that enrolments for all of our classes and activities in Term 1, 2022 will open via our website on Monday 6 December. It will be fantastic to fully welcome everyone back in 2022!
Thank you once more for your ongoing support and understanding.
The Living & Learning Nillumbik team
