Term dates and enrolment dates

Dates are for short courses and activities. For qualification course dates see individual courses.

Our short courses and activities are mostly scheduled over four terms in the year, however, the start and end dates of individual courses and activities may vary due to tutor availability or group preference. Some courses are scheduled in semesters (i.e. half a year) and MakerSpaces generally run the whole year without break, except for public holidays.

Please check the dates for each course or activity.

2024 Term dates

Term 1: 29 January - 28 March. Enrolments open Monday 4 December

Term 2: 15 April - 28 June. Enrolments open on Monday 18 March.

Term 3: 15 July - 20 September. Enrolments open on Tuesday 11 June.

Term 4: 7 October - 13 December. Enrolments open on Monday 2 September.

Please note: enrolment open dates are subject to change.

Enrolments for term-based courses and activities generally open 6 weeks prior to the start of a term. Some activities can be enrolled into at any time of the year. Some activities, like MakerSpaces, are open for enrolment all year round.

Participants of a current, ongoing course or activity are given the opportunity to re-enrol in that course or activity one week before enrolments open to the general public.

Where a course or activity has started, online enrolment closes, however, in some cases there may still be spaces available.  Check the course description or contact us (ph. 9433 3744) to ask. If there are spaces available you will be able to enrol over the phone or in person.

If we don’t get enough enrolments for an activity we may need to cancel it.  To ensure our courses are sustainable and our tutors have time to prepare, our Program Coordinators look to see whether minimum numbers have been reached for each activity a week prior to the start date.  To avoid disappointment we encourage you to book early.
