Free digital skills sessions!
Published on 30 September 2021
As part of Get Online Week, 18-24 October, we are offering free digital skills session sponsored by Good Things Foundation.
Get Online Week sees thousands of local events take place each year hosted by community organisations, giving everyone the chance to find the support they need to improve their digital skills and get motivated to learn more.
Less than 40% of Aussies are confident that they can keep up with the rapid pace of tech changes. For people more at risk of digital exclusion, such as older people, people with disability, low income families and First Nations people, this rate is even higher.
By providing these digital skills sessions, Living & Learning Nillumbik aim to reduce digital exclusion by empowering more members in our community to use the internet and everyday technology to connect and explore the digital world. We also hope to engage more of our community with and raise awareness of the Be Connected program available at Living & Learning Nillumbik.
If the last two years have taught us anything, its how vital digital skills are to our wellbeing and safety. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to safely participant in our digital world and no one should be left behind.
