Fee policy

This page relates to fees for our nationally-recognised qualification courses. Information on payments, concessions, course cancellations, alterations, withdrawals and other terms and conditions of enrolment for our short courses can be found here.

The fees for each of our nationally-recognised qualification courses are outlined in detail on the Course Fee Schedule (which can be found on the relevant course page) and are also summarised in the Statement of Fees, which can be found at the bottom of this page under Related Documents.

There are four different fee categories for enrolments in our nationally-recognised qualifications:

  • Government-subsidised tuition fee

This fee applies if you:

- are enrolling in a course where government-subsidised training places are available, and

- meet eligibility requirements, and

- are not a concession card holder.

  • Concession tuition fee

This fee applies if you:

- are enrolling in a course where government-subsidised training places are available, and

- meet eligibility requirements, and

- hold a Commonwealth Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Veteran's Gold Card, or

- are a dependant child or spouse of someone who holds a Commonwealth Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card.

  • Full tuition fee

This fee applies if you are not eligible for a government-subsidised place, or if there are no government-subsidised places available in the course you are enrolling in.

  • Full tuition fee (concession)

This fee applies if you are not eligible for a government-subsidised place (or if there are no government-subsidised places available in the course) and you are a holder of one of the above concession cards.

Other costs

Refer to our 'Fees, charges and refunds policy', and 'Schedule of Fees and Charges' on our Fees, charges and refunds page for more information about other costs that may be associated with your enrolment.

Payment plans

Fees in our qualification courses are paid in a series of set instalments. Alternative payment plans can also be arranged on request.  To support access to courses, consideration is also given for people experiencing hardship. Ask for more information when enrolling.

Refund policy

See our Fees, charges and refunds policy for information about refunds.

If you find you need to withdraw from your course, you will need to complete the 'VET Course Withdrawal Form', which can be found under 'Related Documents' at the bottom of this page.

Financial Assistance

If you do not gain a government-subsidised training place, you may be eligible for Financial Assistance. This is funding that is made available to eligible individuals.

To determine your eligibility, visit the websites below or contact each service directly. In most cases, the assistance is paid directly to the recipient.
