Diamond Creek centre

This centre was originally the old Diamond Creek Primary School master’s residence and has been renovated a number of times, most recently in 2016.  The venue has 3 main rooms situated on 2 different levels and a Living & Learning Nillumbik administration office.

  • Bunya Room – (upstairs meeting room) Standard meeting room set up with a large oval table and up to 10 chairs. The set up is flexible and it would accommodate 15 people with just chairs in an auditorium style format.
  • Eucalypt Room – (downstairs).  Facilitated class room space that accommodates 12-16 participants comfortably or 25 in an auditorium format.  The set up is flexible with this self contained space also having a small breakout area, kitchenette and toilet on the same level.
  • Peppercorn Room – (upstairs) this is our largest open space with flexible furniture arrangement.  It can accommodate up to 12 for an activity class, 20 in a classroom format and 40 in an auditorium format.  This space is self contained with a kitchen (oven & dishwasher) and access to a toilet on the same level. It is well lit and ideal for facilitated learning, community activities and small to medium sized social functions.

Community short courses are offered at the Diamond Creek Centre including crafts, health, well-being, writing, language, music, technology, and kids’ activities.

Activities are also run at various other Diamond Creek community locations and we like to help people to share, learn and connect through involvement as participants, volunteers or tutors.  We aim to reflect the interests and lifestyle of Diamond Creek residents so please feel free to contact our Centre Coordinator Liz Buijs  with any ideas you may have.

We encourage community groups, individuals and small local businesses to host activities in our venues.  The Diamond Creek centre has hardwired and wireless internet connectivity.  Please call 9433 3744 to enquire or make a booking.
